I found a silver-toned heart pendant necklace this afternoon around 3:15pm near the Main Street entrance to the Sioux City Public Library on Court Street. My necklace features a chain about 18 inches, sterling silver, with a simple lobster clasp that shows a little wear from daily use. The pendant is a delicate hollow heart, about the size of a nickel, with a tiny engraving on the back—'M+L'—that might help identify ownership. Found this vintage coin collection this morning around 9:40 am behind the Tyson Events Center parking lot in downtown Sioux City. It’s kept in a dark red leather binder with gold embossing that says Coin Collection on the front. Inside there are coins from the 1800s through the mid-1900s, some with a brown patina and a few showy mint marks. A small sticky note with the initials 'J.S.' is tucked into one pocket, and there’s a tiny sticker on the inside cover labeled 'K-112'. I’m hoping to get this back to its owner, since it looks well-loved and clearly meaningful to someone.
