LOST: Canines in Sioux City
I lost my two dogs last night around 8:30 p.m. near the Tyson Events Center in Sioux City, after a loud street festival spilled people onto the sidewalks. The smaller black terrier, Pepper, and the larger brown hound, Rusty, bolted when a gate rattled and I didn’t catch them in time. They know my whistle and name, and I’m scared they’re wandering the riverfront or the parking lots by Fourth Street. I’m keeping a careful eye on every alley by the Big Sioux River and the pedestrian bridge, hoping someone will bring them back to me.
Found parrots near Riverside Park, Sioux City
This afternoon around 4:10 PM, I found two parrots wandering near the duck pond at Riverside Park in Sioux City. They hopped from bench to bench, chirping and tilting their heads as people smiled at them. One parrot has a bright green body with blue wing feathers; the other is yellow with a red tail and a curious gaze. They didn't seem frightened, and I stayed with them for a while to see if anyone was calling for them. They look well cared for, and I figured they'd belong to someone nearby. I’ve posted this note in case the owner recognizes their companions.

I found a little brown hamster just outside of Riverside Park this morning. It was scurrying around looking a bit confused but seems friendly. If anyone has lost their hamster in the Sioux City area, please reach out! I would love to get it back to its home.
