I lost my guitars last Friday around 6:20 p.m. in Sheffield, near the Crucible Theatre and the Peace Gardens. They’re a sunburst Fender Stratocaster and a black acoustic with a frayed strap; both are like limbs to me when I’m playing after gigs. I had been walking from the Cathedral Quarter toward the Devonshire Quarter, and I must have left them on a bench by the Winter Garden or dropped them by a bus stop on St. Paul’s Road. I’d stopped to tie my shoelace by the ornate fountain and must have dropped it as I walked toward the tram stop. I lost my collars last night during a walk around 7:30 PM near the Peace Gardens outside Sheffield City Hall. We were crossing the square toward the Moor Market when they slipped from my pocket and vanished. They’re a blue nylon collar with a small bone pattern and a plain black leather one—both used on my dog’s daily trips. Losing them felt awful because the tags hold important id details and the names matter to me.
