Lost keyboards from my Lake Charles studio
I’m missing two keyboards from my Lake Charles, Louisiana home studio after a gig at the Lake Charles Civic Center. Around 9:45 PM on Friday, June 7, 2024, they were in a black padded case in the back seat of my sedan, and I discovered them gone when I got home. One is a compact MIDI controller with white keys, the other a full-size keyboard in a blue cover. They’re essential for practice and mean a lot to me as I’m rebuilding my home studio.
Lost sheet music near Strand Theatre, Lake Charles
Last Friday at about 4:30 PM, I was leaving after a community choir rehearsal at the Strand Theatre area in downtown Lake Charles when I realized my sheet music was missing from my tote. The binder is pink with a few pencil marks and a faded title on the front. The piece I was practicing for our spring concert is a lively gospel number, and I can't manage the page turns without those sheets. My heart sank because those pages hold weeks of work from rehearsals at the Civic Center. If someone picked it up near the Strand or Civic Center, I’d be grateful to know it’s found.
LOST hats near Lake Charles Civic Center on Broad Street
Hey there, Camille Broussard here. I realized around 3:45 p.m. yesterday that my two hats were gone after I paused to grab a quick bite near the Lake Charles Civic Center along Broad Street, by the lakefront boardwalk. One hat is a tan fedora with a navy ribbon, the other a black knit with a red pom. I retraced my steps along the sidewalk past the amphitheater and toward the riverfront, but I couldn’t find them. It’s tough because the hats carry memory and practicality alike, and I’m hoping someone picked them up and will return them.
Lost medication in Lake Charles, Louisiana
I lost my medication on a bench outside the Lake Charles Memorial Hospital main entrance around 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday. It is a small brown bottle with a blue cap, tucked in a simple plastic case so I would not misplace it, and it has my name on the label. I must have set it down while I asked a nurse a question near the cafe by the lobby, and by the time I turned back it was gone. This medication helps me a lot with daily routines, and I am anxious to have it back where it belongs.
Found: Equipment for Various Sports in Lake Charles
I was walking along Lake Charles' riverfront and spotted a bundle of sports gear abandoned near Charpentier Park at about 6:45 p.m. today. The pile includes a backpack stuffed with a basketball, a couple of tennis rackets, a whistle, and a gym bag with a few uniforms. I tucked it into my car for safekeeping and decided to post it here because someone out there is probably missing it before practice tomorrow. If any of this belongs to you, I hope you’ll find its way back to the rightful owner through the site.
Found brooches in Lake Charles
I was walking along the Lake Charles Civic Center grounds around 2:45 p.m. today when a small velvet pouch tucked under a bench revealed a cluster of brooches. The pins glittered—some enamel birds, a delicate pearl, a gold-tone leaf—clearly cherished items from a special occasion. I felt a twinge of responsibility, like I’d stepped into someone else’s memory and needed to protect it. I left the pouch and brooches on the bench with a note and headed to the information desk, hoping the owner would recognize them soon.
Found Radios in Lake Charles, LA
While walking along the Lake Charles boardwalk near the Civic Center at 4:20 PM yesterday, I spotted a pair of radios sitting on a bench in a black protective case. I picked them up, checked for identifying marks, and decided to post them here in case the owner is looking. The radios are compact with a dark gray exterior and a small carry strap; one has a scratch on the corner but works otherwise. If these belong to you, please leave a note through the site so the rightful owner can be reunited with them.
Lost CDs near Lake Charles Civic Center
I am Marie LeBlanc, and I realized my CDs were missing after I stepped away from the Lake Charles Civic Center lakefront around 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The blue case held a mix of classic rock and indie tunes I collected on road trips through Louisiana. It feels empty without them, like losing part of my late night playlists and memories from drives along the bay. If you found a blue CD case near the lakefront, I would be grateful to have it back.
Black nylon tote bag with red interior
I lost my black nylon tote bag yesterday around 3pm near the Starbucks on Ryan Street by the Lake Charles Civic Center. It's a medium-sized tote, about 14 inches wide, with a red fabric lining and a small frayed tag that says 'Mira' on the outside. Inside there's a spiral notebook with hand-drawn sketches, a blue dolphin-shaped keychain on the zipper, and a faded photo of my grandmother. The bag has sentimental value—it was a gift from her, and I really need it back. If anyone found it, please let me know; I’d be incredibly grateful.
Silver ring with blue gemstone found near lakefront boardwalk
Found a silver ring this afternoon around 3:15pm on the Lake Charles lakefront boardwalk near the Arts District entrance. It's a simple silver band, roughly a size 6, with a small oval blue gemstone and a delicate wave pattern etched along the edge. Inside the band there's a tiny engraving 'A.J.' and a faint dent from where it likely bumped the railing. It felt sentimental—hopeful it belongs to someone who'll recognize the tiny engraving. If you think it's yours, DM me or reply here and we can arrange a safe meetup near the boardwalk.
Navy quilt blanket with initials J.S.
I lost my navy quilt blanket yesterday around 3pm near the Target on Nelson Road here in Lake Charles. It's a king-size quilt, soft cotton flannel with a subtle geometric pattern, and the initials 'J.S.' embroidered in the lower-right corner. There are a couple of small wear spots along the seam and a faint coffee stain on the back. It was a gift from my grandmother and carries a lot of sentimental value; I really need it back. I noticed it was missing after I got home from errands and realized I had left it in the car or by the checkout area. If anyone found it, please reach out—I'm hoping to be reunited with it soon.
Blue travel umbrella found near Lake Charles Civic Center
I found a compact blue travel umbrella this afternoon around 4:15 pm behind the Lake Charles Civic Center on Lakeshore Drive, near the amphitheater steps. It's a navy blue canopy, about 9-10 inches folded, with a black wrist strap and a small red rubber tip. The fabric shows light wear but the ribs feel sturdy; there's a white logo on the sleeve that reads 'SunGuard' and a laminated label inside with initials 'S.L.'. I figured someone probably needs it for rain after events downtown, so I’m hoping to reunite it with its owner.

Lost black leather briefcase with gold clasp
I was walking back to my car after a meeting yesterday around 3pm and realized my black leather briefcase was gone. It's a Samsonite Pro-DLX in good condition, about 16 inches wide, with a single gold-tone clasp and a small scuff on the lower right corner. Inside there's a red fabric lining, a palm-sized notebook, and a yellow sticky note with my initials 'PR' stuck inside the lid. I last remember having it near the parking lot behind Cornerstone Café on Broad Street, close to the Lake Charles Civic Center. This briefcase holds important client files and a few personal mementos; it's something I really need back, and it has sentimental value to me. If anyone found it, email me at [email protected].
Silver-tone bracelet with anchor charm found
I found a silver-tone bracelet this morning around 11:15 am outside the Lake Charles Civic Center, near the West Pujo Street entrance. It’s about 7 inches long, with a small anchor charm and a tiny heart charm. There’s a tiny tag on the clasp engraved with 'SJ' that caught the light. The bracelet is in decent shape, a few surface scratches from where it was on the ground, but otherwise still pretty shiny. If you recognize it by the charms or the initials, we can meet near the coffee shop on Ryan Street to reunite it with you.
