I was walking along Lake Charles' riverfront and spotted a bundle of sports gear abandoned near Charpentier Park at about 6:45 p.m. today. The pile includes a backpack stuffed with a basketball, a couple of tennis rackets, a whistle, and a gym bag with a few uniforms. I tucked it into my car for safekeeping and decided to post it here because someone out there is probably missing it before practice tomorrow.
