On Saturday at 5:15 p.m., I realized my hand tools were gone from the back of my pickup outside the Home Depot on Nelson Road in Lake Charles. The bag is gray with a bright yellow strap, and it held a hammer, a tape measure, two crescent wrenches, and a handful of screwdrivers with red handles. I’d been finishing up a shelving project for a neighbor, and the loss has me redoing the same steps over and over in my head. I’ve checked the Civic Center area and the parking lots along Oak Park, but I’m hoping this site helps someone remember.
