Last Friday around 8:15 PM, I was loading my car in the Baton Rouge River Center parking lot after a small festival along the Mississippi. My GPS devices were tucked in the side pocket of my backpack, and I must have left them behind when I hurried to the car after the show. They're compact, black with a white logo, and I rely on them for fieldwork and hikes around the bayous. I'm hoping someone picked them up and turned them in to the River Center lost-and-found; those devices are essential to my work.

I lost a small blue and gold framed painting yesterday around 3pm near the Baton Rouge Gallery on Government Street. It's a 12x16 inch print, mounted in a light wood frame with a white mat. The painting features an abstract seascape with teal and copper tones, and there's a tiny scrape on the bottom edge plus a faint coffee ring on the back of the frame. It has sentimental value—it was a gift from my grandmother who adored the local art scene. If anyone found it, I’d really appreciate getting it back.
I lost my red North Face Borealis backpack yesterday around 3pm outside the Mall of Louisiana on Bluebonnet Blvd, near the main entrance by the food court. It is a 28L backpack, red with a black bottom, with a gray laptop sleeve tucked in the main compartment, and it shows light wear with a couple of scuffs. Inside there is a 15-inch laptop, a notebook with doodles, and a galaxy sticker on the inside lid; I also have a bright yellow carabiner clipped to the top loop and a coffee stain on the front pocket. This backpack means a lot to me and it has sentimental value because it was a gift from my mom, and I really need it back. It's a medium-sized canvas bag with a long strap, and someone tied a small floral scarf to the handle. On the zipper pull there's a red enamel pin shaped like a guitar, which is a pretty distinctive detail.
