Lost Student ID near Yale campus, New Haven
I left my student ID on a bench by the Beinecke Rare Book & Manuscript Library around 9:30 pm last Thursday after a late study session. The card has my name and a Yale seal, and it’s essential for library access and campus buildings. I’m anxious about getting to class and continuing my work without it. I hope someone who found it kept it safe until I can retrieve it through the proper campus channels.
Found postcards near Yale, New Haven Green.
Found these postcards this afternoon on the New Haven Green, around 3:18 p.m., tucked between a bench and a lamppost near the carousel. They tell a quiet story—seaside towns, a lighthouse, and handwriting that looks like someone’s memory journal. The backs are faded and the corners are creased from rain, but the colors still catch the light when I tilt them. I kept them dry in my tote and hoped the rightful owner would see this post and recognize a place or a date. These cards clearly meant a lot to someone, and it would mean a lot to me to see them back with the owner.

Lost organizers for workshop near New Haven Green
Hi, I'm Grace Bennett. I was getting ready for a community workshop when I realized my small tote of organizers had vanished around 6:45 p.m. on a Tuesday, near the New Haven Green in New Haven, Connecticut. I retraced steps along Chapel Street and Elm Street but couldn't find them. Inside were a handful of plastic organizers and label stickers we use to line up seating and materials. They were essential to our event and my mood dropped when I saw them missing, since the workshop starts tomorrow afternoon.
Found Holiday Decorations in New Haven, CT.
I was walking past the New Haven Green in New Haven, Connecticut around 10:10 AM on a Saturday when I spotted a tangle of decorations lying by the Elm Street sidewalk. A box containing a garland, a string of warm white lights, and a wreath with red berries had clearly been left behind by someone else’s celebration. I brought them home and cleaned them up, hoping the owner would recognize them when they read this post. They look like they’ve been cared for in the past, so it’s likely they belong to a family getting ready for a holiday. If the owner is out there, I’d be glad to reunite them, and I’ll hold onto the items safely until we can connect.
Gray Anker power bank with blue USB-C cable
Found a gray Anker power bank with a blue USB-C cable attached this afternoon around 4pm on College Street in front of the Yale Bookstore. The device is about the size of a small paperback, matte gray with a slightly scuffed corner near the logo. It has a tiny red paw-print sticker on the back and a short blue cable looping through the USB port. It powered on when I pressed the power button, so it seems to be in decent shape. If it's yours, describe the sticker and the last thing you saved on this device, and I’ll happily return it to you.
Navy Nike hoodie, size L, initials J.R.
I lost my navy blue Nike hoodie yesterday around 3pm near the Starbucks on York Street by the Yale campus in New Haven. It's a fleece-lined zip hoodie, size L, with white drawstrings that are a bit frayed. Inside the pocket, my initials 'J.R.' are written in black Sharpie, and there's a tiny coffee stain on the right cuff. It was a gift from my sister and means a lot to me; I wear it all the time and really need it back. If someone finds it, I’d be incredibly grateful for its return.
Hand-painted ceramic vase with teal glaze
I lost my hand-painted ceramic vase yesterday around 3pm outside the Yale University Art Gallery on Chapel Street, right near the corner of York Street. It’s about 7 inches tall with a teal glaze and tiny white speckles, and there’s a delicate ivy leaf motif circling the neck. The bottom is signed with a small script that looks like 'M. Rao' and there’s a tiny chip on the rim from a spill last month. This vase was a gift from my grandmother, so it has sentimental value and I'm really hoping to get it back.
Blue contact lens case with initials AH
I lost my CVS Health contact lens case yesterday around 5pm near the Starbucks on Elm Street in Downtown New Haven. It's a small pocket sized white case with a bright blue lid, slightly cloudy from wear, and there's a tiny crack along the bottom edge. Inside are two lenses and a faint optometrist sticker; the bottom is engraved with the initials AH. This case is essential for my daily routine and I really need it back. If you happen to find it, please message me and I’ll swing by to pick it up near that Starbucks or the Yale shuttle stop.
Columbia navy parka with faux fur hood
Yesterday around 5:45pm I lost my Columbia navy parka with a faux fur hood. It was near the New Haven Green, outside the College Street Starbucks by Elm Street. It's a size L, in good condition with a couple of cuff scuffs and a frayed fur trim. Inside the left chest pocket there’s a tiny red stitch I added, and the orange lining is visible if the jacket flips. It was a gift from my mom last winter and it means a lot to me, I’d really appreciate getting it back.
Silver Yamaha flute with initials LJ
I lost my silver Yamaha YFL-222 flute yesterday around 3pm near College Street and Elm Street, right outside the Yale Bookstore by the New Haven Green. It’s a standard-sized concert flute in good condition, with a few scuffs from everyday practice and a tiny dent on the lower foot joint. The lip plate is engraved with my initials LJ, and the accompanying navy case has a bright red plush lining that's hard to miss in a bag. This flute is sentimental—it was a gift from my grandmother. If anyone found it, please reach out; I’d be so grateful to have it back.
Dwarf hamster with white belly, missing
I lost my dwarf hamster, Niko, yesterday around 3:15pm near the Yale Bookstore on Elm Street in New Haven. He's golden-brown with a white belly and a tiny pink nose, about the size of a ping-pong ball, and he has a crescent-shaped white patch on his chest plus a small nick on his left ear. I last saw him darting toward the planters by the bookstore and he could’ve slipped into a grate behind a bench, so he might be hiding in the shrubbery along Elm Street. This little guy means the world to my daughter—my family rescued him, and he’s a sentimental part of our days; please help me get him back if you find him.
Lost blue contact lens near State Street, New Haven
I lost my blue contact lens yesterday around 3pm near the Starbucks on State Street in New Haven. It's a single Acuvue Oasys lens, a bright blue with a darker rim and a tiny green speck near the center. I think I dropped it outside the entrance while I was tying my shoes after coming from the bus stop. My left eye feels off without it, and I really need it back—it's the one I wear most days and it would be a relief to recover. If found, I’d be incredibly grateful to get it back.
Rare vintage stamp collection in red binder
I lost my rare vintage stamp collection yesterday around 3pm near the Yale Bookstore on High Street in New Haven. It's all tucked in a red faux-leather binder with a gold crest on the cover and a small sticker that says 'Worldwide Classics' on the front. Inside, there are stamps from the 1920s, including a couple that aren't common in any modern album, plus one stamp with a pale blue back. The binder is a bit scuffed and the inside pages show a bit of foxing. This collection was my grandfather's hobby, and I really need it back; it feels like a piece of him is missing.
Cream-colored dwarf hamster with white belly
I lost my cream-colored dwarf hamster yesterday around 3pm near the Starbucks on Chapel Street by the New Haven Green. He's tiny, about the size of a grape, with a pale gray stripe along his back and a white belly, plus a tiny black birthmark on his left hind paw and a faint patch behind his right ear. He was in a small pink carrier with a blue lattice handle, and I had him tucked in while I biked home from a friend's place on York Street. I'm really worried—he's shy and could slip into a crack or vent in seconds if I'm not careful. If you've seen him, please text me; this little guy means a lot to me and I'd be incredibly grateful to have him back.
