Lost CDs in Hattiesburg, MS
I lost my CDs last night around 7:15 PM after studying at the University of Southern Mississippi campus. I had them in a black wallet tucked into my backpack, a mixed batch of classic rock and indie with a few scratched cases. I think I left them somewhere in the USM library courtyard, near the glass doors that overlook the quad, on my way to the campus coffee shop. I’ve retraced my steps and asked the front desk, but nothing turned up yet. It’s frustrating because those discs carry memories of recent road trips and late study sessions.
Blue paperback novel, The Alchemist, 1993 edition
I lost my blue paperback copy of The Alchemist, a 1993 edition, this afternoon around 3pm near the Hattiesburg Public Library on Main Street. It's a well-loved book with a creased spine, a coffee stain on the back cover, and a bright yellow sticky note tucked inside that reads 'For future journeys' in my handwriting. There's a small red coffee ring on the edge of page 112, and a tiny dog-ear on page 78. It was a gift from my grandmother, so it's sentimental to me — I really need it back.
Hardcover Dune book with blue cover
I've been checking my bag since yesterday around 3pm. I was on the USM campus near the Cook Library steps when I last had it. It's a hardcover edition of Dune with a blue cloth cover, some edge wear, and a coffee stain on the bottom corner. Inside, there's a small red bookmark and a folded note tucked between pages 213 and 214. It has sentimental value—it was a gift from my late aunt, and I really need it back.
Printed Media: Teal paperback found outside downtown library
Found a well-loved paperback this afternoon around 3pm outside the downtown public library on Main Street in Hattiesburg. It's a teal cover, a trade paperback, with a coffee stain on the back and a sticky note tucked inside the front flap that reads 'Property of J.R. 2023' and a bright orange ribbon bookmark sticking out from page 128. There’s a small library stamp on the inside cover and a receipt from The Corner Café wedged between pages. If the owner recognizes these details, please reach out; I’d love to get it back to you.
