Found: Equipment for Various Sports in Ames
I was walking home from the ISU Recreation Center through Campustown in Ames around 7:42 PM on Tuesday when I found a bag of equipment for various sports lying by a bench near Lincoln Way. The bag contained a basketball, tennis rackets, a softball glove, and a few smaller items with a team name written on the tag. I picked it up and kept it safe, hoping the owner would see this listing. If this sounds like yours, please check around the Memorial Union area or the Campustown by the ISU Recreation Center.
Blue hand-painted ceramic vase, 8 inches tall
I lost my blue and white hand-painted ceramic vase yesterday around 3pm near the ISU Bookstore on University Boulevard in Ames. It's about 8 inches tall, with a round body and a slender neck, glazed cobalt blue with white floral patterns and tiny gold speckles. There's a hairline crack along the rim and a small chipped edge on the base—it's still sturdy, just not perfect. It was a gift from a local artist friend and means a lot to me, so I’d really like to get it back. If anyone found it, please drop me a message or email; I’ll pick it up as soon as I can. The base has a tiny signature 'K. Liu' in black ink, which should help spot it.
Found bright pink stuffed unicorn with grass stains near Ames playground.
I found a bright pink stuffed unicorn in the park near the Ames playground yesterday. It looks loved and may belong to a child, as it has some grass stains on its feet and a small bow on its tail. It's very soft and cuddly, and I can imagine it holds some sentimental value. Please reach out if you think it's yours!
