I lost my vintage brass Waltham pocket watch yesterday around 3pm. It's a collector's piece, about 4 cm in diameter, with a white enamel dial, Roman numerals, and a short silver-tone chain. The case is brass with a subtle patina and the back is engraved with the initials 'P.K.' in a small flourish. I was near Winchester Cathedral's The Close, then wandered down College Street toward The Guildhall Market, and I think I might have dropped it near the Bookshop on High Street or outside the post office near Market Place. This watch has sentimental value—my grandfather wore it for decades—and I really need it back.
I lost my gold heart pendant necklace yesterday around 3pm near Winchester Cathedral on High Street in Winchester. It's a delicate 18k gold chain, about 45 cm long, with a small heart-shaped locket at the end. The back of the pendant is engraved with 'M+J', and the clasp is stamped '14K'. The chain has a tiny kink near the clasp from a light fall, but the piece is otherwise in good shape. It was a gift from my grandmother and holds a lot of sentimental value; I'd really appreciate getting it back. If anyone found it, please drop it off near the Market or message me here — thank you.
I lost my black Ray-Ban Wayfarer glasses yesterday around 3pm near the Winchester Cathedral entrance on College Street. They’re matte black with brown gradient lenses, and there’s a small scratch on the left lens. Inside the right temple, my initials 'PP' are etched, and they came in a brown leather case with a faint sticker peel. They’re prescription, and I really need them back for work and daily life — they mean a lot to me. If anyone found them, please drop them at the Winchester Lost & Found; I’d be forever grateful.
I lost my Nike navy zip-up hoodie yesterday around 3pm near Winchester Cathedral on College Street. It’s a men's size M, soft fleece inside, with white drawstrings and the Nike swoosh on the chest. There’s a tiny coffee stain near the hem and some light pilling on the sleeves from wear. This jacket is my go-to for chilly walks and long shifts, so it’s a bummer to be without it, and it has sentimental value because it’s seen me through a lot. If you found it, please drop me a line—really hoping to get it back.
I lost my 14k yellow gold emerald ring yesterday around 3pm near Winchester Cathedral on College Street. It's a slim, size 7 ring with a single, vivid emerald set in a tiny bezel and a faint scratch along the band. Inside the ring there's a tiny engraving 'AK'—my grandmother's initials—and the band shows a little wear, but the emerald is still bright. This ring is a family heirloom that means a lot to me, and I'd really like to have it back.
I found a blue paperback crime thriller this afternoon around 2:15pm outside the Winchester Discovery Centre on Jewry Street. The cover is a matte blue with a white title, and the spine is a bit creased. Inside, a red star-shaped bookmark sticks out between pages, and there's a small sticky note tucked in that reads 'Book Club - June.' The book is in decent condition but clearly loved. If this is yours, I’m happy to hold onto it and arrange a handoff near the library entrance.
I found a dog this afternoon around 4:15pm near Market Place by Winchester Cathedral. It's a small brown terrier with a white chest and a bright red nylon collar; there's a blue bone-shaped tag that reads 'Milo'. The dog was muddy from the rain, but happy to sniff around and wag his tail when I spoke to him. He seems well cared for and friendly, so I’m hoping to reconnect him with his owner soon—if this is yours, drop me a message here and we can arrange a quick meetup near the Guildhall.
I found a pair of red Nike running shoes this afternoon around 4:15pm outside Winchester Station on Romsey Road, near the bus stop. They are size US 9, with a red mesh upper and a white Nike swoosh, plus a black pull tab at the heel. The right shoe has a neon green lace tip tucked under the laces and a small scuff near the toe. They look lightly worn, with a few dirt specks on the soles from the pavement. If these are yours, shoot me a note so we can arrange a quick pickup in Winchester.
I found a gold-tone necklace with a tiny sapphire pendant this afternoon around 2:15 pm on Market Street by the Winchester Guildhall. The chain is about 18 inches, delicate but sturdy, with a small teardrop pendant that catches the light. On the back of the clasp there’s a neat engraving 'MB,' which should help the owner identify it. It looks gently worn but undamaged, just a tiny scratch near the clasp. I really hope to get it back to its owner — this one seems meaningful and I’d love to see it go home with you; if this sounds like yours, drop me a note here and we’ll sort out a safe pickup.
I found a hand-painted ceramic vase yesterday around 4pm on High Street near the Guildhall in Winchester. It's about 9 inches tall, cobalt blue glaze with a delicate gold leaf rim and a tiny sunburst pattern on the base. There's a small chip on the rim and a faint crack along one side that only shows up close. The maker's mark on the bottom looks like a tiny seahorse. If someone recognizes it, please reach out; I'd really like to get it back to its owner, it seems special and I'm hoping to help.
