Lost sculptures near Guemes ferry dock
I lost my sculptures Sunday night around 7:30 p.m., near the Guemes Island ferry dock, after a quick chat with a neighbor at the Anacortes marina. They were three small pieces, about 12 inches tall, built from driftwood and brass, with sea motifs. I kept them in a blue tote in the back seat of my pickup, and by the time I looked again they were gone. These pieces carry a lot of memory: one was a gift from my grandmother who loved the coast, another is a family keepsake from a summer trip to the islands. The thought of them sitting somewhere unloved makes my stomach ache; I’m hoping someone found them and kept them safe until I can get back to them.
Blue plush dragon with orange scarf, 12 inches
I lost my blue plush dragon toy yesterday around 3pm near the Friday Harbor ferry terminal on Spring Street. It's a soft, 12-inch dragon with an orange scarf and embroidered eyes, plus a small teal patch on the right wing where a seam was repaired. The fabric is a bit worn from years of hugs, and it's been a favorite for my 4-year-old daughter, which is why it's so hard to part with. If someone finds it, message me through this listing so we can arrange a pickup in Friday Harbor.
Found vintage stamp collection near Langley Market
I found a compact black three-ring binder about 9x11 inches stuffed with a stamp collection on a bench outside Langley Market on Whidbey Island this afternoon around 2:15pm. The binder is labeled 'Scott' on the spine, and inside are stamps from the 1910s through the 1940s—mostly U.S. and Canadian issues—still fairly well preserved, though a few pages show yellowing with age. A small enamel pin shaped like a green lighthouse is clipped to the binder, and there’s a faint sticker inside that reads 'L. Chen Stamps' as a possible owner clue. It’s a neat, sentimental-looking bundle, and I’d love to help reunite it with its owner if you can reach me.
Found red plastic fire truck toy
I found a small red plastic fire truck toy this afternoon around 3pm near the Friday Harbor ferry terminal, on Spring Street across from the benches near the dock. It's about 8 inches long, with a white ladder on top and a few paint scuffs, but the red shows well and the wheels roll smoothly. On the side there's a faded white sticker that says 'Lily's Fire Dept' and a tiny blue sticker with 'SP'—easy to spot as identifying features. I hope it finds its owner soon; it clearly belonged to a kid and I'm glad to help get it back.
