Lost sewing pins near Siskiyou County Courthouse, Yreka
I was walking in Yreka around 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, near the Siskiyou County Courthouse, when I dropped a small tin of sewing pins from my bag. They’re just simple silver pins, but they belonged to my grandmother and helped mend her old quilt. I retraced the route along Main Street up toward the courthouse steps, but the pins didn’t turn up. If someone found them, I’d be grateful to have them returned through the site. It sounds silly, but losing them feels like losing a piece of our family history, and I’m hopeful they’ll turn up.
Sterling silver necklace with pine tree pendant
Found a sterling silver necklace this afternoon around 2:45pm behind the Mt. Shasta Visitor Center on Lake Street, Mount Shasta, Siskiyou County. It's an 18-inch chain with a small round pendant featuring a pine tree and a blue enamel dot. The piece is a little tarnished but in decent shape; the back has a tiny paw print engraving and there’s a faint scratch shaped like a lightning bolt near the clasp. If this is yours, share a couple identifying details and I’ll gladly arrange a pickup so you can get it back.
Gold-tone hoops with turquoise bead
I lost my gold-tone hoop earrings yesterday around 3pm near the Yreka Library on Main Street, Siskiyou County. They’re small hoops about 1.5 cm in diameter with a tiny turquoise bead dangling from one side. One earring has a faint inner-edge engraving—an S—and the other is a hairline bend from a tumble last week. They’re sentimental, a gift from my grandmother, so I’m really hoping to get them back. I retraced my steps along Main Street, the bookstore, and the Safeway parking lot, but I couldn’t find them. If you found them, please reach out — I’d be forever grateful.
