Found: Xylophones in Sioux Falls, SD
This morning around 9:10 a.m., I found a set of Xylophones leaning against a bench near Falls Park in downtown Sioux Falls. They’re in a weathered wooden case with bright stickers and a few keys sticking out, like someone started a tune and forgot to finish it. I picked them up and brought them to the downtown Lost and Found, hoping the owner will claim them soon. It felt strange and hopeful at the same time—the kind of small discovery that reminds you how connected this town is.
Lost travel adapters in Sioux Falls
I was at Falls Park around 11:20 AM last Saturday, walking near the Arc of Dreams, when I realized my travel adapters were missing from my backpack. It’s a small set, a gray multi-port USB hub with two universal plug adapters, nothing expensive but essential for my trip. I’m flying soon and really need them, so I’m hoping whoever found them might see this and let me know. It would mean a lot to get them back.
Found hand tools tucked near Falls Park, Sioux Falls.
I found a small bundle of hand tools—hammer, pliers, and a couple of screwdrivers—on a bench outside the Falls Park entrance around 6:10 pm last Tuesday. The hammer has a nicked wooden handle and a bit of oil on the metal; the pliers wear a red grip and the screwdrivers are a little nicked from use. It felt like someone started a quick repair and had to leave in a hurry, and I felt a twinge of worry for the owner. I turned them in to the local lost-and-found, hoping the rightful owner would see this post. If these are yours, you’ll recognize the worn hammer handle and the red-grip pliers.
Found Canines in Sioux Falls
On Tuesday around 4:25 p.m., I found two canines wandering near Falls Park along the Big Sioux River in Sioux Falls. They had no collars or tags and looked a bit tired but friendly. I kept them close with a spare leash from my daypack and offered water while I asked nearby walkers if anyone recognized them. We moved toward the park shelter area and waited as the light faded, hoping a family would come forward. I’m posting this in case someone is missing two dogs and can describe them by color and size so they can be rejoined with their people.

Found handheld and console in Sioux Falls
While walking near Levitt at the Falls around 3:30 p.m. this Saturday, I spotted a small backpack with a handheld device peeking out. Inside was a handheld console and a few cartridges. I turned it in at the park information desk and waited a moment to see if anyone looked for it. I know how easy it is to forget something like this, and I hope the owner is reunited soon.
Lost hamsters near Falls Park, Sioux Falls
I’m Sophie Larson, and two little hamsters escaped from their cage yesterday evening in my apartment near Falls Park in Sioux Falls. I last saw them around 7:15 p.m. near the back kitchen door, but by the time I checked again they were gone, scurrying under the sofa and into the small gaps behind the radiator. They’re brown and white, with a tiny squeak that always makes me smile and a habit of poking their noses out when I call their names. I’m worried sick and would be grateful for any sighting near Falls Park’s Arc of Dreams or the surrounding neighborhood.
lost holiday decorations near Falls Park, Sioux Falls
During a 7:15 p.m. Tuesday, I was bringing in the last of our holiday decorations and must have left the tote on a bench near Falls Park by 8th Street. The tote holds garland, a string of multicolor lights, and a handmade wreath. They’re meaningful to me because they helped make our family gatherings feel like home, especially after last year’s hardship. I’ve checked with neighbors and the bus stop, but I haven’t found them yet. If you see them or remember someone handing them in, I’d really appreciate the return.

Lost GPS devices near Falls Park, Sioux Falls
I lost my GPS devices near Falls Park in Sioux Falls around 8:15 p.m. last night. I had them in the outer pocket of my hiking jacket as we circled the Arc of the Dreams and headed toward the riverfront. A quick gust slid the pocket zipper open and the devices tumbled out onto the gravel path near the park entrance. One unit is in a blue silicone case and the other is a compact black unit; both carry my work routes and emergency settings, which I rely on for getting around town. I woke up this morning anxious, hoping someone picked them up and kept them safe, because they are more than gadgets to me.
Found sheet music in Sioux Falls
I was walking through Falls Park this morning around 9:30 AM and found a stack of sheet music left on a bench near the Washington Pavilion. The papers are a mix of blue and white pages, some dog-eared from frequent flipping, with a few pencil markings in the margins. It looked like someone had been practicing and left in a hurry. I felt a little hopeful that I could help someone get it back to their hands. If this sounds like yours, I hope you can recognize the notes, the ink, or a bookmark tucked in a specific page.

Gray leather fanny pack style purse with the usual things. Maybe lost at Farmer's Market or Falls Park.
Lost microwaves in Sioux Falls near Falls Park
Last night I realized my two microwaves were missing from the back porch of my apartment building on East 12th Street, not far from Falls Park. Around 7:15 PM I had stepped outside to grab a jacket and when I got back they were gone from the small utility cart by the door. The area around the loading zone is usually busy, and I feel annoyed and worried about meals going cold or food spoiling. Losing them has put a dent in my week and left me feeling a bit unsettled. If you saw anything around Falls Park or the alley behind my building, I’d appreciate any information.
Lost travel visas in Sioux Falls
I lost my travel visas after a quick coffee at the Falls Park Café near the Arc of Dreams around 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The documents were tucked in a small blue folder with a red zipper and a little SD sticker on the front. I’m due to fly out in two days, and the scramble to replace them is stressing me out. If someone found a blue folder with papers on the table, please contact me through the site—I’m hopeful it was turned in and not left behind.
