Found: Equipment for Various Sports in Scranton
On Tuesday at 6:45 pm, I found a sports gear bag near the main entrance to the Steamtown National Historic Site in Scranton. Inside was Equipment for Various Sports—a basketball, a tennis racket, a pair of sneakers, and a water bottle with a faded team logo. I stood there a moment thinking about the person who lost it and how panicked they must be, especially after a long day of practice. I brought the bag to the security desk so it would stay safe, and I’m hoping the owner sees this and claims it through the site. It feels oddly hopeful to know someone might get it back.
Blue hand-painted ceramic vase with gold trim
I lost my blue hand-painted ceramic vase yesterday around 3pm near the Steamtown National Historic Site entrance on Lackawanna Ave in downtown Scranton. It's about 9 inches tall with a slightly curved neck, cobalt glaze, and gold trim at the rim and base. On one side there's a small raised floral motif and a tiny hairline crack at the base from a drop last week. It was a gift from my grandmother and has a lot of sentimental value; I keep it on a living room shelf, and I really hope to get it back.
Found soft light brown teddy bear with a ribbon around its neck in Glen Park, Scranton.
I found a soft, light brown teddy bear while walking my dog in Glen Park in Scranton over the weekend. It looks well-loved and has a little ribbon around its neck. I’m sure it must belong to a child who is missing it terribly. Please reach out if this is yours!
