Lost postcards near Bodie Island Lighthouse
I lost a small stack of postcards from family trips along the Outer Banks. I last had them Sunday around 4:15 p.m. while walking the dunes near Bodie Island Lighthouse. The cards show photos from Cape Hatteras and a handwritten note from my grandmother tucked in the back. These postcards are sentimental anchors for me, and I’d be grateful to have them back so I can finish a memory box I’m building.

I found a Kindle Paperwhite this afternoon around 3:45 pm, tucked behind a bench near the Whalehead Club along Lighthouse Drive in Corolla, Outer Banks. It’s in a bright neon yellow silicone case with a tiny sea turtle sticker on the back. The screen shows a few minor scratches on the bezel, but it powers up fine and the docking cable is still attached. Inside the device, there’s a bookmark peeking out with a note that reads 'NC road trip memories'—clearly a travel buddy. I’m the one who lost this blue paperback mystery last night around 3pm near the Jennette's Pier entrance in Nags Head, Outer Banks. It’s a 350-page paperback with a slightly creased blue cover and a silver foil title, The Silent Tide, and an orange fish-shaped bookmark sticking out from page 142. Inside there are a few dog-eared margins and a coffee-stained receipt tucked in the back cover. This book matters to me—it's a gift from my aunt and has real sentimental value. If anyone found it, I’d be grateful to get it back; we can meet at the pier or a nearby cafe.
