Lost utensils near Blacksburg Library
Hi, I’m Emily Carter. I misplaced my stainless utensil set around 8:15 p.m. last Friday near the Blacksburg Library after grabbing takeout and heading toward the campus area. It’s more sentimental than valuable—a dented fork and a wooden spoon from my grandmother. I retraced steps from the library steps to the campus bookstore and back, hoping the clink of metal would jog my memory, but I can’t shake the feeling I left them somewhere along the library plaza. If someone picked them up, please keep them safe—the memory attached to them means a lot to me.
Lost Hand Tools in New River Valley
Friday around 2:15 PM, while I was walking out of the New River Valley Mall in Christiansburg, I spotted a blue canvas toolbox sitting on the curb by the bookstore. It was full of hand tools—hammer, screwdrivers, pliers, and a wrench or two—things I know are handy for a DIYer. It looked like someone set it down while grabbing a quick bite, so I picked it up and kept it with me to try and find the owner through this site. Tools like these are the backbone of a good project, and I’d hate to see them end up in the wrong hands. If these belong to you, please check back here.
Silver MacBook Air in black sleeve found near mall
I found a silver Apple MacBook Air (13-inch) this afternoon around 2:15pm in the parking lot behind the New River Valley Mall on Roanoke Street in Christiansburg. It’s in a black neoprene sleeve with a bright blue zipper. The lid has a small dent on the bottom-right corner and a round green pine-tree sticker near the corner. When I opened it, it booted to the login screen with a mountain wallpaper, so it seems to be in decent shape overall. The battery held a charge for a bit after I turned it on. Walnut table lamp with brass accents found near NRV Mall
I found this walnut table lamp this afternoon around 3:15 pm in the parking lot behind the New River Valley Mall on Route 114 in Christiansburg. It's about 20 inches tall with a walnut-stained wooden base, a brass neck, and a cream fabric shade that has a small coffee ring near the edge. There's a dent in the brass neck and a tiny sticker on the underside of the base that reads 'NRV Vintage Co.' The lamp is in good condition overall, just a bit worn from regular use. If the owner spots this, I’d be glad to arrange a handoff near the mall or at the Lost & Found nearby.

I found a gorgeous vintage coffee table with lots of character near the park in New River Valley. It has a dark finish and some lovely carvings along the edges.
