Found stamps near Racine harbor, Wisconsin
Today at 8:15 AM, I was walking along Main Street by the Racine harbor when a dusty envelope tucked behind a planter by a bench popped out. Inside were a cluster of vintage stamps—bright reds, ocean blues, and a tiny ship that made me grin. It felt like stumbling onto a small piece of someone’s story, and I felt a tug of responsibility to see it back to its owner. I kept them safe and took a photo to post here, hoping the rightful owner will recognize them and reclaim them on this site.
Lost paintings in Kenosha-Racine, Wisconsin
I’m a local painter who set up a small outdoor display along the Kenosha Harbor, near Harbor Park, on Saturday at 11:30 a.m. I turned away for a moment to help a couple of visitors, and when I looked back, my two canvases and a small sketchbook were gone from the easel. One painting is a bright orange abstraction, the other a moody blue seascape; the sketchbook has a handful of quick studies and notes in my handwriting. I spoke with a few neighbors and a vendor, but no one saw a thing. These paintings represent weeks of work and a dream for a forthcoming show, and I’m crushed at their loss.
Blue Nike running shoes, size 9
I'm missing my blue Nike running shoes, size 9. They're the lightweight mesh pair with a white swoosh and a bright orange inner lining, a little scuffed on the toes. I last wore them yesterday around 3pm and I think I left them near the Target on Green Bay Road, just north of Lincoln Park in Kenosha. One left shoe has a tiny green paint speck near the sole, and the tongue has a small fray from long runs. They were a gift from my sister, and I'd be really grateful to get them back.
