Found: Shoes near Rosa Parks Circle, Grand Rapids

I found a pair of gray running shoes hidden behind a planter near Rosa Parks Circle around 4:02 p.m. today. The shoes looked used but sturdy, laces tied in a loose bow with a faint rain smell, insoles wearing thin from miles. A tiny scuff on the toe and a tag with a single '23' scribbled inside told me someone might be missing these from a late workout. It stung a little to think someone might be scrambling for a pair after a long day, and I held onto them, hoping they’d find their way back through this post.
