Hoops found along lakefront in Finger Lakes
I was walking the lakefront path by Cass Park in Ithaca, in the Finger Lakes region, around 11:45 a.m. this morning when I spotted a pair of hoop earrings lying by a bench overlooking Cayuga Lake. I picked them up and they look a bit worn, with a small scratch on one hoop and a faded engraving on the inside. There was no note or ID, so I kept them with me and thought I would post here in case I can reunite them with their owner. I hope whoever lost them sees this and knows they are safe with me for now.

On Saturday around 11:40 a.m., I was helping a friend at the Ithaca Commons, near the bookstore, when I set down a tin of pins to tidy my display. When I turned back, the tin had disappeared from the folding chair I was using. The market was buzzing with vendors and hikers taking a break, the sun slanting across the brick and storefronts. I keep replaying the moment, hoping a honest shopper picked up the pins and left them somewhere safe.

I lost my silver-tone necklace yesterday around 3pm in the Finger Lakes area. I was near the Ithaca Commons on State Street, then by GreenStar Market, and I must have dropped it somewhere along the sidewalk. It's an 18-inch slim chain with a small heart pendant that has a tiny emerald inlay. The back of the pendant is engraved with an initial 'M'. The chain is a bit worn, but the pendant is in good condition. This necklace was a gift from my grandmother and means a lot to me—really hoping someone who picked it up will return it.
