On Saturday at 9:40 PM I was tidying the kitchen in my Maplewood Apartments unit on West Water Street, Elmira, when I realized my appliances were missing. The blender, toaster, and small coffee kettle had been on the counter by the window, and now the space is bare. These aren’t just gadgets to me; they’re what I rely on to cook for my son and keep our evenings sane after long days. I’m worried someone new to the building might’ve walked off with them, or they were slipped into a hallway by mistake.
