I was at the North Market in downtown Columbus around 7:25 p.m. on Friday when I realized my two cotton shirts were missing from the tote I had left by the entrance. They’re simple, one light blue and one navy, each with a tiny embroidery on the sleeve. Those shirts are sentimental—one came from my grandmother, the other a gift from a friend—and I’m anxious I won’t find them. I walked the sidewalks along High Street and Pearl Alley, checking benches by the fountain, but they weren’t there.
On Friday at 2:15 pm, I was unloading a moving box outside the North Market on High Street in downtown Columbus when I realized my two microwaves were gone from the back of the truck. They’re both standard countertop sizes; one is stainless steel with a small dent on the door, the other is black with a cracked display. I had planned to set them up in my new apartment in the Short North this weekend, and I’m really anxious about the loss because these were essential for meals during the move. If you saw anything around the market entrance around that time, please help me reunite them with me.
On Saturday around 6:45 p.m., I lost my Breeds binder from the bench by the North Market's entrance. It's a small, worn binder with a faded red cover and a paw-print sticker on the corner. Inside are breed notes, dog-breed cards, and a hand-drawn map I drafted last winter. This binder has taken years of notes and memories, and losing it makes me feel unsettled and a little heartbroken, like a thread of my daily routine just unraveled.
