I realized at 6:10 p.m. on Friday that my two black leather work cases were missing from the loading dock behind the Columbia Museum of Art. I retraced my steps down Main Street toward the State House grounds, checking the benches and the fountain on Gervais Street. The cases hold confidential files and my laptop charger, which makes me anxious. I am hoping a kind passerby picked them up and handed them in, because I need them for a big client presentation next week.
