I found these shopping bags outside Bath Abbey on Milsom Street at 2:50 p.m. on Saturday, 20 June. They were stacked against the stone wall outside a closed coffee shop, a pink ribbon tying one bag shut and a spare receipt peeking out. Inside appeared to be groceries and a folded map, nothing hazardous. I slid the bags onto the doorstep of a nearby charity shop so they’d be easy to spot by whoever returns later. It felt like a small, ordinary moment of kindness in the bustle of Bath, and I’m glad someone else can reclaim them.
