lost: Sheets in Anchorage
I was packing for a short overnight trip around 9:30 p.m. last Friday, near the Alaska Railroad Depot in downtown Anchorage, when I realized I had lost my sheets from their laundry bag. They are a white cotton set with a thin blue piping that has faded from years of use. I have kept them in a linen closet near my kitchen window in Midtown, and the thought of sleeping somewhere else without them unsettles me. I must have left them on the laundry chair in the building's shared laundry room around 9:15 p.m., and when I returned, they were gone. They are more than fabric to me—just sheets tied to home I carry with me during trips through Mat-Su and back to the valley.
Lost radios near downtown Anchorage tonight
I was at the downtown market and realized at 6:15 p.m. today that my radios were missing from my backpack. They’re small, with a gray casing and one has a blue bear sticker on the back. I rely on them for weather alerts during weekend hikes in the Chugach foothills, and losing them feels like losing a piece of my routine. The two radios carry memories of my grandmother, who taught me how to use them, and I hope they’re just misplaced rather than gone for good. If you saw them around the Anchorage Museum or Ship Creek area, please keep an eye out for them.
Red Pyrex 3-qt mixing bowl with blue lid
I lost my red Pyrex 3-quart mixing bowl with a blue lid yesterday around 3:15 pm outside the Fred Meyer on Spenard Road in Anchorage. It’s a Pyrex bowl with a bright red exterior and a white interior, and the blue lid has a small scratch along the edge. There’s a tiny chip on the rim near the lid and a faint coffee ring on the bottom from where I set it down. It was a gift from my grandmother and means a lot to me, so I’d really appreciate getting it back. The bowl is engraved with my initials AS on the bottom.
Oxo Good Grips 4-qt stainless mixing bowl, teal lid
I lost my Oxo Good Grips 4-qt stainless steel mixing bowl with a teal silicone lid yesterday around 3pm. It was on the kitchen counter at home, and I must have left it in my tote when I ran into the Dimond Center parking lot on Dimond Boulevard in Anchorage after a quick errand. The bowl is in good condition, with a few light scratches and a small dent along the rim. The teal lid has a tiny bite mark from a curious cat, which is a handy distinguishing feature. It’s sentimental to me because it was a gift from my sister, and I really need to have it back for Sunday baking. If anyone found it, I’d be grateful to get it back.
Lost black and red heavy-duty hammer drill with carrying case near Palmer's Mat-Su area, Anchorage, Alaska.
I lost my heavy-duty hammer drill while working on some renovation projects in my garage. I believe I left it outside briefly while picking up materials, and when I went back, it was gone. It was last seen around Palmer's Mat-Su area, near my house. It's a black and red model with a carrying case. It's a valuable tool for me, so I really hope someone finds it.
