LOST: Saxophones in Winston-Salem, North Carolina
Sunday morning at 9:00 a.m., after a quick rehearsal at the Stevens Center in downtown Winston-Salem, I realized my saxophones were missing from my locker. They’re two horns—the alto with a dent near the bell and a silver tenor with a scratched neck—both tucked inside black gig bags. I rely on them for an upcoming recital, and the thought of being unable to practice chills me. I retraced every hallway, checked the loading dock, and asked staff, but there’s no sign of them yet. If you saw two horn cases by the Stevens Center entrance, I’d be grateful if you could let me know through the site so I can bring them home.
Lost sheet music from last rehearsal
I lost my sheet music after a late practice yesterday. It is a small black binder with yellowed pages and a pencil mark on page 8, plus a coffee ring near the spine. I realized it was gone around 7:15 p.m. outside the Stevens Center on West Fourth Street, by the brick arch that leads toward Old Salem. Those pages hold a few original arrangements my grandmother taught me, and I feel empty without them; they connect me to family and to the sound of our old piano. If anyone found it, I would be grateful to have it back before my next recital.
Found blue Yamaha snare drum behind Central Library
I found a blue Yamaha snare drum this afternoon around 4pm behind the Winston-Salem Central Library on West Fifth Street. It's a 14x6.5 inch model, blue lacquer with some scuffs and silver hardware. Inside the shell there's a small sticker with the initials 'LJ' and a faint dent near the rim. If you think it might be yours, describe the sticker and size and we can meet downtown to return it.
