I was sorting through my stamp album at a small table in downtown Grand Junction around 5:15 PM on Tuesday when a gust tugged the folder from my lap and sent stamps skittering across the polished concrete near Main Street and the Colorado Riverfront Trail. The batch includes a handful of early US commemoratives and a few vintage postcards. Losing them hurts—these are sentimental pieces that remind me of my grandfather's old collection.
