Lost DVDs near WIU Student Center
I lost my DVDs last Friday around 7:15 p.m. in downtown Macomb, Western Illinois, near the WIU Student Center. I was grabbing a quick bite after class and must have left them in a hurry near a storefront on East Jackson Street. Found this blue hardcover mystery novel this morning around 11:15am in front of the Macomb Public Library on Main Street, near the bus stop. It's in good condition, about 320-350 pages, with a bright orange sticker on the back cover that says 'Reserved for Local Reads.' Inside, I found a yellow sticky note with a cat doodle tucked between pages, and a crumpled receipt from Cup & Bean coffee shop dated last week. The cover shows a moonlit alley and the title 'Whispers in the Alley.' I figured it must belong to someone who left the library or campus area, so I’m posting here in case you can describe one more identifying detail and claim it. I misplaced my paperback copy of 'To Kill a Mockingbird' at the coffee shop on Main Street in Western IL last Thursday. The book has a few notes in the margins, and there’s a small coffee stain on the cover. I was sitting near the window, and when I left, I forgot to grab it. It's one of my favorites, so I'm really hoping to get it back.
