Lost: Photographs in Macomb, IL
I realized I had lost a bundle of photographs somewhere on the Western Illinois University campus yesterday afternoon around 1:15 p.m. I had been sitting outside Malpass Library on West University Drive, flipping through a photo album when the stack disappeared from my tote. The pictures are precious family portraits from the 1980s and 1990s, and they mean the world to me. If anyone found them, I would be incredibly grateful to hear back so I can recover them.
Lost DVDs near WIU Student Center
I lost my DVDs last Friday around 7:15 p.m. in downtown Macomb, Western Illinois, near the WIU Student Center. Found this blue hardcover mystery novel this morning around 11:15am in front of the Macomb Public Library on Main Street, near the bus stop. It's in good condition, about 320-350 pages, with a bright orange sticker on the back cover that says 'Reserved for Local Reads.' Inside, I found a yellow sticky note with a cat doodle tucked between pages, and a crumpled receipt from Cup & Bean coffee shop dated last week. The cover shows a moonlit alley and the title 'Whispers in the Alley.' I figured it must belong to someone who left the library or campus area, so I’m posting here in case you can describe one more identifying detail and claim it. I misplaced my paperback copy of 'To Kill a Mockingbird' at the coffee shop on Main Street in Western IL last Thursday. The book has a few notes in the margins, and there’s a small coffee stain on the cover. I was sitting near the window, and when I left, I forgot to grab it. It's one of my favorites, so I'm really hoping to get it back.
