Lost: Postcards near Public Square
On Friday evening, around 6:15 PM, I was leaving Watertown Public Square after grabbing a hot chocolate from a vendor by the fountain. I reached into my messenger bag and realized my small stack of postcards was missing. They’re mostly blank backs from a trip my grandmother took years ago, the kind that carry a little note in my handwriting. I’d been by the brick library steps and near the statue when I last saw them. It feels silly to say I’m emotional about paper, but those cards tell our family story, and I’m hoping they’ll turn up with someone who picked them up by mistake.
Lost DVDs after movie night in Watertown, NY.
I lost a small stack of DVDs after a quiet evening in Watertown, New York. Around 6:40 PM on Tuesday, I checked the tote by the door and realized they were gone after I stopped by the Watertown Public Library on Court Street earlier. The area outside the building was crowded with people leaving for the night. The DVDs are a mix of indie titles and family favorites, housed in a plain black case with a blue slipcover visible on one side. Losing them feels silly and a little sad, because those movies are part of my weekend routine. If anyone picked them up, I’d be grateful to have them back.
Found a well-loved paperback edition of 'Pride and Prejudice' by Jane Austen at the small park by the library in Watertown.
I found a well-loved paperback edition of 'Pride and Prejudice' by Jane Austen at the small park by the library in Watertown. It has some faded pages but is in overall decent condition, with a handwritten note on the inside cover that says 'First book I read in high school!' I thought it might mean something special to someone, so I would love to return it.
Lost vintage hardcover edition of 'To Kill a Mockingbird' with name inside front cover and dog-eared pages near Watertown Park.
I lost my favorite vintage hardcover edition of 'To Kill a Mockingbird' while walking my dog near Watertown Park. It has my name inside the front cover and a few dog-eared pages. I'm really hoping to get it back as it holds a lot of sentimental value for me.
