lost: I was volunteering at the Cedar Falls Public Library on Main Street, near the east entrance, when I must have left behind a stack of handmade quilts around 2:15 PM last Saturday. The quilts are three: one red-and-white lattice, one blue-and-white patchwork, and a pale teal with star shapes. They were made by my grandmother and carry family memories; losing them feels like losing a piece of home. I retraced steps along Main Street and checked the car and library shelves, but I couldn't locate them.
