SMALL COSMETIC BAG about 7-8 inches long - quilted purples. Inside small black wallet with flower - leather. Also inside was a small jewelry envelope. REWARD offered for return of the jewelry. Lost family brooches near Dupont Circle, DC
Last Friday, around 2:20 PM, I stepped out of a cafe on F Street NW by Dupont Circle after a quick visit to the National Gallery of Art. My two silver brooches—one shaped like a delicate leaf with marcasite, the other a tiny crown—slipped from my coat when I reached for an umbrella in the light rain. They’re priceless to me, heirlooms from my grandmother. I retraced my steps along the street and checked the cafe and restroom, but I didn’t find them. I’m hoping a passerby turned them in or left them at the cafe counter.

I was sipping coffee near the Union Station main hall around 3:15 pm last Friday when I found a set of desk organizers tucked behind a bench. They’re a mix of black metal and clear plastic, with a handful of sticky notes still clinging to one side. It looked like someone was rushing to their train and left them behind, and I could feel how much they might help someone keep a chaotic desk in order. I’m posting this here to help reunite them with their rightful owner.

Lost sheet music in Washington DC near Union Station
While heading back from a practice session near the National Mall, around 4:30 PM on Friday, a gust blew a sheet of music out of my bag near Union Station. The pages are thin and worn, with a pencil note on the first page and a few coffee stains along the edges. I retraced from Dupont Circle to Capitol South hoping to spot a fluttering page, but the wind had other plans. Losing those sheets feels personal—they carry memories of my grandmother and our old duet. I hope they turn up somewhere near Union Station.

Cream-colored dwarf hamster with ginger patch
I lost my cream-colored dwarf hamster yesterday around 3pm. It's about 2 inches long, with soft cream fur and a small caramel patch along its back. It wears a tiny blue harness with a silver bell and a light tan heart-shaped patch on its belly. Last seen near the Dupont Circle metro outside the CVS on 19th Street NW, and it may slip into any crack or bin. This little guy is a gift and means a lot to me—if you spot him, message me and we can arrange a meetup.

I found a GoPro HERO11 Black action camera this afternoon around 3:00 PM outside the Dupont Circle Metro entrance on Massachusetts Ave NW. It's in a gray protective case with a red GoPro sticker on the lid and a blue silicone sleeve around the body. The bottom corner has a small dent, and there's a yellow tape with the initials 'MK' stuck on the side. The touchscreen boots up and shows some vacation clips, so I figured someone might have dropped it during a stroll around the circle. I'm hoping to get it back to its owner; if it's yours, check for these features and drop me a note with the identifying details.

Red North Face parka with fox pin
I lost my red North Face parka, knee-length, size M, with a gray faux fur hood yesterday around 3pm—it's a seasonal DC winter essential. It was outside the Dupont Circle Starbucks on Connecticut Ave NW, right by the bus stop near the green line entrance. It has a small coffee stain on the left chest and a fox-shaped enamel pin above the zipper. Inside the lining I sewed my initials 'P.P.' because it's sentimental—the coat was a gift from my sister two winters ago. I'm really hoping to find it; it was the only warm coat I had for the chilly DC days, and I feel stranded without it.

Lost black fanny pack/small purse. Brand: REI (REI Co-op). Contains purple wallet, keys, etc. Leaving the area in a couple weeks, urgent. I definitely had it in the Building Museum. Walked to American History Museum (past law enforcement memorial and post office pavilion), then from American History to Union Station. Realized I lost it while on the train.
DeWalt 20V drill kit found near Union Station
I found a DeWalt 20V MAX XR cordless drill kit this afternoon around 3:15 PM in the Union Station Parking Garage on Massachusetts Ave NE, near the Amtrak entrance. It's tucked inside a yellow-and-black hard case with a slightly dented battery pack and a small blue sticker on the lid with the initials 'JK'. Inside there are two batteries and a compact bit set. I grabbed it thinking someone might be missing it, so I'm keeping it safe and hoping to reunite it with its owner soon; the case shows signs of light wear but the tools work fine. Found keys on blue lanyard near Union Station
I found a set of keys this morning around 7:50am on the ground outside Union Station's main entrance, along Massachusetts Ave NE in Washington DC. The bundle is on a bright blue nylon lanyard with a small metal carabiner and a tiny flashlight keychain. There are a few keys: one is a dented Yale house key, another is a Toyota car key with a red plastic cover, plus a little black USB drive and a red rubber tag that says 'HOME.' The lanyard looks a bit worn but everything else is in decent shape. If this sounds like yours, I’d love to get them back—meet at Union Station or reply here with a matching detail.
