Gray hamster with blue harness found near Walmart

I found a small gray hamster this afternoon around 4:15 pm in the grassy strip outside the Walmart Supercenter on McFarland Boulevard East in Tuscaloosa. It has a blue fabric harness with a tiny silver bell and a white patch on its chest. The little guy is pretty friendly, hops around, and came right up to me when I knelt down. It seems well cared for, eyes bright, and fur clean, so I’m hoping its owner is close to finding it.
