I found a small stack of photographs yesterday around 3:15 pm, lying on the sidewalk just outside the Old State Capitol steps in downtown Springfield. The prints look like family portraits from years past, one shows a couple posing by a storefront with a retro sign and another shows kids by a riverbank. They feel intimate, like a window into someone's memories, and I’d hate to see them disappear into a bag of miscellaneous items. I picked them up and brought them to the lost-and-found area, hoping the rightful owner will recognize them and reclaim them.
