While wandering Springfield on a breezy afternoon around 2:30 PM, I found a folder labeled Sheet Music behind a bench by the Capitol grounds. The music is cleanly printed but the cover is worn, with tempo marks in pencil and a few stray notes. It struck me as more than just paper; it felt like a moment someone was practicing for a performance, a small joy in the middle of a busy day. I wrapped it up and kept it safe, hoping the owner will see this post and recover their tunes and mood.

I’m missing my silver Yamaha student flute. I last saw it yesterday around 3pm near the Springfield Central Library on Grand Street after practice. It’s in a black hard case with a red lining, and the case has a small tear at the zipper. The flute itself is bright silver with a tiny dent on the headjoint and an engraving 'A.J.' near the thumb key. This instrument has sentimental value—it was my grandmother’s, and I really need it back to keep playing.
