I lost my GPS devices while hiking near Stearns Wharf around 5:30 PM last Friday. Two devices were in a blue zip pouch—one handheld with a cracked screen and a second car-mounted unit. I had walked down State Street toward La Arcada and then looped back toward the harbor, realizing the pouch was gone just outside Stearns Wharf. These tools are essential for field work I do with a local research program, and I’m sick with worry they’ve found their way into the wrong hands.

I found a Nintendo Switch OLED model with neon red/blue controllers this afternoon around 2:30pm, sitting on a bench outside the Santa Barbara Central Library on East Anapamu Street. It’s in decent shape, the screen looks clean with a protective film intact, and the neon Joy-Cons still click nicely. It’s tucked in a blue silicone case and has a small pink heart sticker on the back, which makes it pretty easy to spot. There’s a faint scratch on the screen protector when the light hits just right.
