I found a set of compact synthesizers tucked under a bench outside the GoggleWorks Center for the Arts around 9:47 a.m. this past Saturday. The equipment was in a black flight case, cables coiled neatly, a tiny power brick warm to the touch. A sticker with the initials 'KVR' peels off a corner, and a worn label with a name faintly scrawled on it. It gave me a small ache for whoever was touring, chasing a note for a show tonight—I know how that mix of excitement and urgency feels.
