Lost belts in Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill area
Hi, I'm Morgan Hayes. I lost my favorite black leather belt with a small silver buckle. I wore it yesterday during a quick class on Hillsborough Street in Raleigh and stopped for a late coffee at Sunrise Café around 4:15 PM before wandering toward Pullen Park. I must have left it on a bench near the playground. It's the belt I reach for every day to finish my outfits, and it feels like a small piece of my daily routine is missing. If you found it, please help me get it back. It would mean a lot to me.
Found terrariums on UNC campus bench
I was walking away from the Ackland Art Museum on the UNC-Chapel Hill campus around 2:30 p.m. on Saturday when I spotted two terrariums resting on a bench by the entrance. They looked lovingly cared for, with moss, tiny plants, and decorative rocks visible through clear glass, as if someone had made a tiny greenhouse in a jar. I left them in place for a moment to be sure they weren’t knocked over, then kept an eye on the bench as I continued my walk. They seem well-loved and likely have a story behind them.

Lost toy train near Durham Amtrak platform, NC
On May 2, 2026, at about 7:50 a.m., I realized my small wooden toy train was missing from the seat pocket on a Raleigh-Durham line train as we rolled into Durham Station. I had tucked the little red-and-blue engine into a tote to keep it safe while I commuted to Chapel Hill, but it must have slipped out during the stop. The train is a simple yet cherished keepsake—my nephew loves it, and it means a lot to him. If you found it near the Durham Amtrak platform, I’d be grateful for any sign of its return.
Pink Hello Kitty key ring with several keys
Key ring with pink hello kitty key and roughly 4-5 other gold and silver colored keys.
Lost utensils near Franklin Street, Chapel Hill.
Saturday around 11:00 a.m., I realized my utensils were missing from the kitchen counter after helping clean up brunch at a friend's place on Franklin Street in Chapel Hill. The set includes a wooden spoon with a chipped handle, a teal spatula, and a handful of metal forks. I must have left them behind in the rush to get out the door, and now I’m scrambling to replace them for a big potluck next week. If you found a mismatched collection of cooking tools around Franklin Street, I’d be grateful to hear from you—these utensils mean a lot to me.
Lost Microwaves near UNC campus
On Tuesday around 7:15 p.m., I realized my Microwaves were missing from the kitchen of my apartment near the UNC campus. I’d last used them to reheat leftovers in the small galley on Franklin Street, just a short walk from the campus quad. I’m stressed because I rely on them for late-night meals after long library sessions, and I’m sure I didn’t leave them behind in the apartment. If you found my Microwaves, please keep them safe; they’re not fancy, but they’re mine and they matter to me.

Lost DVDs near UNC Chapel Hill
On Friday around 7:45 PM, I realized my DVDs were missing from the coffee shop on Franklin Street near UNC-Chapel Hill. I had left them on the table while I went out for a quick phone call, and when I came back they were gone. The streets were quiet, with the campus lights flickering and a chilly breeze in my face. They are a small stack of home movies and a couple of classic favorites, and I am getting worried they are gone for good. If anyone picked them up, I would be grateful to know they are safe.
Found drones near UNC Chapel Hill campus
I was walking back to my car near the UNC Chapel Hill Student Union around 7:15 PM on a Wednesday when I spotted two drones lying behind a bench near the fountain. They have red prop guards and a gray carry case, and one screen still faintly shows a flight log. I picked them up and carried them to the campus security desk, hoping to reunite them with their owner, but there was no one waiting for them. If these belong to you, I hope you see this — they looked fairly new and ready to capture memories of an evening on Franklin Street.
Lost brooches near Crabtree Valley Mall, Raleigh
I was at Crabtree Valley Mall in Raleigh last Friday around 5:15 PM, showing a friend a family photo when my silver brooches disappeared from my purse. The set includes a small leaf-shaped pin and a heart pin, both on a soft velvet card that I kept in the zipper pocket of my tote. I think they slipped out while I stood by the escalator near the food court, near the benches outside Cracker Barrel. They’re sentimental—the leaf is from my grandmother and the heart belonged to my mom—and I’m losing sleep over them, hoping someone honest will hand them in.
Blue nylon dog harness with reflective trim
I found a blue nylon dog harness with reflective trim this afternoon around 2:45pm outside the Harris Teeter at Cameron Village in Raleigh. It's a medium size with an adjustable strap and a sturdy black plastic buckle. There's a small teal paw-print charm dangling from the leash ring, and a thin lime-green stitch along the edges. The harness looks in decent shape, a little dusty from the sidewalk but clean and intact. I spotted it near the cart corral by the store entrance and grabbed it hoping to help its owner. If this is yours, message me with something only you would know about the item (like the exact size or a detail from the tag) and we can figure out a quick meetup near Cameron Village.
Black Sony WH-1000XM4 headphones in case
I lost my black Sony WH-1000XM4 wireless headphones yesterday around 3pm near the Cameron Village Starbucks on Davie Street in Raleigh. They’re in a black hard-shell case, and the headphones themselves have a small dent on the left earcup with a faded sticker that reads 'A-7' on the inside of the headband. I was grabbing a coffee and must've left them on a bench outside the store before I headed to my car. They’re really important to me—they were a gift from my sister last year and I use them every day for work and commutes, so I’d really appreciate getting them back if anyone found them.
Red leather-bound Moleskine travel journal
I lost my red leather-bound Moleskine travel journal yesterday around 3pm near the Chapel Hill Public Library on Franklin Street. It's a 5x8 inch red hardcover with a black elastic band, a worn spine, and a small compass sticker on the inside cover. Inside, there are handwritten travel notes from a spring trip and a pressed daisy tucked between pages 37-38; there's a coffee stain on page 42. It holds a lot of sentimental value—it's filled with itineraries, sketches, and a note from a friend—so I'd really appreciate getting it back if anyone found it.
Lost dog: greyhound mix with blue harness
I lost my greyhound mix, Scout, yesterday around 7:15pm near the Crabtree Valley Mall parking lot on Glenwood Ave in Raleigh. He's about 60 pounds, mostly grey with a small white heart-shaped patch on his chest, and he wears a blue reflective harness. There are two tags on him: a silver bone-shaped tag that reads 'Scout 1123' and a round paw-print tag. He has a slight limp in his right hind leg and tends to bolt when startled; this dog means the world to me and I really need him back.
