Lost something on public transport?

How to track down an item left on a bus, train, tram, or taxi by contacting the right transport operator.

Items left on buses, trains, trams, and taxis around Poconos are usually handed in to the operator's lost property team — the trick is contacting the right one quickly.

  1. Identify the operator. Note the route, line, or company and the rough time. Each operator runs its own lost property process.
  2. Submit a lost property report. Use the operator's online form or phone line as soon as possible; recovered items are logged against your description.
  3. For taxis and rideshare, contact the driver or company directly through your booking or app receipt.
  4. Keep your reference. Save any report number so you can chase it up.
  5. Post a listing. Add a listing for Poconos in case a fellow passenger picked it up.

Lost brooches in the Poconos

I lost my two vintage brooches in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, around 2:15 p.m. on Saturday, while browsing the Main Street shops and stepping out to the sidewalk for a quick phone check. One brooch is a small blue enamel leaf, the other a delicate gold bee with tiny rhinestones. They’re not worth a fortune, but they mean the world to me - both were gifts from my grandmother and carry a lot of family memory. I retraced my steps along Main Street and the little alley behind the bookstore, but I didn’t turn them up. If someone finds them, please use the site to get them back to me.

Lost equipment for various sports in the Poconos

Hi, I am Noah Kim. I left behind a batch of sports gear after a weekend trip to Camelback Mountain Resort in the Poconos. It was around 7:45 PM on Saturday when I realized my bag wasn't by the locker I used near the main lodge. Inside was a gray duffel with lacrosse sticks, a basketball, a tennis racket, and a few water bottles. I have gone back to search the area, but I could not locate it. It would mean a lot to me to have it back.

Student ID missing in the Poconos

I lost my student ID last Friday at 4:20 pm after leaving East Stroudsburg University's bookstore in East Stroudsburg. I retraced my steps from the Student Union Café to the campus quad, but the ID wasn't there. It's essential for dorm access and exams, and not having it makes everyday tasks feel stressful. If it turns up anywhere around ESU or The Crossings Premium Outlets parking lot in Tannersville, I'd be grateful for its return.

DeWalt 20V cordless drill

I lost my DeWalt 20V Max cordless drill yesterday around 3pm in the Poconos. It's the yellow and black model with a slightly scuffed grip and a cracked battery door. I last had it in the Camelback Mountain Resort area—parking lot behind the Snowsports Shop in Tannersville—before I headed back to my rental cabin. The case has a blue sticker on the battery that says 'Project X,' and the belt clip on the drill is bent from a fall last month. This drill is my main go-to for weekend repairs around the cabin, so I’m really hoping it turns up. If anyone found it, please email me at [email protected]; it's the tool I rely on to keep things in shape here in the Poconos.

Red SanDisk 128GB USB flash drive

I lost my red SanDisk 128GB USB flash drive, a small piece of digital media I use for family photos and freelance drafts, yesterday around 3pm near the Camelback Mountain Resort parking lot in Tannersville, Poconos. It’s a slim drive with a red silicone case and a tiny dent on the metal edge. On the back there’s a white sticker with a simple mountain silhouette—easy to spot if it’s lying on the ground. It holds years of memories and work, so the sentimental value is pretty high and I really need it back. If you found it, I’d be forever grateful to meet somewhere in the Poconos to pick it up.

Blue Camelback lift ticket on blue lanyard

I lost my blue Camelback Mountain Resort lift ticket yesterday around 3pm. It's a two-day pass, laminated and credit-card sized, on a light blue lanyard with a tiny silver snowflake charm. The top of the card has CAMELBACK in bold red and a big barcode on the back; there’s a small crease from when it lived in my jacket pocket. I think I dropped it in the parking lot behind the Camelback Lodge & Waterpark in Tannersville, right near the ski shop entrance. It holds sentimental value because we used it on a family day in the Poconos, and I’d really appreciate getting it back. If someone found it, email me at [email protected] to arrange return.
