Lost DVDs near Smoot Theatre, Parkersburg.
I lost my DVDs around 2:15 p.m. last Saturday near the Smoot Theatre on Market Street in Parkersburg-Marietta, West Virginia. They were in a black plastic case with a few scratches along the spine, tucked in a tote bag I was using for errands. I retraced the blocks between the theatre and a nearby cafe, asked a couple of clerks, and spoke to a passerby, but nothing turned up. Those films mean a lot to me and our small movie nights, so I’d be grateful to have them back. If you found them, they’re waiting by the Smoot Theatre on Market Street until someone claims them on the site.
Lost: Organizers near Riverview Park, Parkersburg
I was volunteering at a small outdoor meetup in Parkersburg's Riverview Park, part of the Parkersburg-Marietta metro area, around 6:40 PM on Monday when my tote of organizers disappeared from the wooden picnic table near the riverfront. The Ohio River glowed gold as the sun sank behind the bluffs, and my heart sank with it. Those organizers are the setup kit I use to keep cords, labels, and tiny clips tidy for tomorrow’s workshop, and losing them means a scramble I could do without. I retraced my steps along the path by the benches and the gazebo by the boat launch, but there was no sign of them. If you spotted a black tote with a bright orange Organizers label near the river, please keep an eye out in that area.
Blue budgie parakeet with red leg band
I lost my blue budgie parakeet yesterday around 4pm near Riverfront Park on Market Street in Parkersburg, right by the river walk benches. It's a small bird, mostly blue with a white belly and subtle black wing markings. It has a bright red leg band with the number 42 on it. This bird is the family's little chatterbox—my daughter named it Sky—and it means a lot to us, especially since we just moved here last month. If anyone spots him or finds him perched in a yard or tree, please reach out. We'd be forever grateful.
Blue dragon plush with orange wings
I lost my daughter's blue dragon plush yesterday around 3pm near the Parkersburg City Park playground by the carousel, off Riverside Drive. It's about 12 inches tall, soft plush, bright blue with a purple belly and orange felt wings. There's a small frayed seam at the tail and a tiny silver star sticker on the left ear. It was a gift from Grandma and holds a lot of sentimental value for my kiddo—she hugs it every night. If someone found it, we'd be incredibly grateful to get it back; it helps keep her calm at bedtime.

I lost my red Nike hoodie, size M, yesterday around 3pm near Riverside Park by the Market Street entrance in Parkersburg. I lost my tiny dwarf hamster yesterday around 3pm in the Parkersburg-Marietta area. Last seen near the Market Street entrance to City Park, by the gazebo behind the fountain, in a clear plastic cage with a blue wheel. He’s gentle and curious, and this little guy has sentimental value for my family—especially my 4-year-old daughter. If you’ve seen him, please reach out; I’d really love to have him back.

Pearl 14x6.5 snare drum, black gloss
Yesterday around 3pm I realized my Pearl 14x6.5 snare drum was missing after a quick pack-up near the Smoot Theatre on Market Street in Parkersburg. It’s gloss black with two chrome lugs and a small dent on the rim, and it has a red 'Jazz Night' sticker on the shell. It sits in a black padded case, and I know the serial number if needed. This drum has been with me since college gigs and means a lot to me emotionally. If anyone found it, please get in touch—having it back would mean everything.
Black iPhone 12 Pro Max in red case
I lost my black iPhone 12 Pro Max yesterday around 3pm near Market Street behind the CVS in Parkersburg. It's in a bright red silicone case and has a blue hawk sticker on the back—easy to spot. The screen is cracked at the top-left corner and there's a small dent on the bottom edge. This phone is more than a device to me; it was a gift from my grandmother and carries sentimental value, so I’d really appreciate it being returned.
Gold necklace with heart pendant and initials JL
Yesterday around 3pm I realized my necklace was missing after I left the Smoot Theatre on Market Street in Parkersburg. It’s a warm yellow 18-inch 14k gold chain with a dainty heart pendant. The back is engraved with the initials 'JL' and there’s a small scratch on the front. The clasp feels slightly bent from wear. It was a gift from my grandmother and means the world to me. Glucose meter with pink case and heart sticker
I lost my white OneTouch Verio glucose meter with a light pink silicone case and a tiny red heart sticker on the front. Blue paperback found near Point Park riverfront
I found a blue paperback this afternoon around 3:15pm along Market Street by Point Park and the riverfront trail behind the Parkersburg Art Center. It's a well-worn copy of The Night Circus with a teal cover, about 400 pages, and the spine is creased from a lot of reading. Inside, there's a faded Parkersburg Public Library stamp on the first page and a pink sticky note that says 'For Sarah' scribbled in the margin—little personal touches that felt like it mattered to someone. The back cover has a small coffee ring, and the pages are slightly foxed, giving it that beloved, lived-in look. I figured someone might be missing it after a walk along the river, so I’m posting here with the hope we can reunite it with its owner.
