Lost brooches near South Coast Plaza, 2:45 pm.

I was browsing South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa around 2:45 pm on Sunday when I realized my brooches were missing from my purse. The collection includes three vintage pieces: a silver leaf brooch with a peridot stone, a tiny etched-circle brooch, and a delicate floral piece with a pearl center. They’re family keepsakes, not easily replaced, and I keep thinking they might turn up near the main entrance by Nordstrom or tucked behind a display at the jewelry stores. It hurts to imagine someone else admiring them without knowing their story.
