I lost my Pins around 6:15 PM last Friday by the Bricktown Canal in downtown Oklahoma City, near the water fountain that lights up at night. I had been chatting with a friend and checking a map when I noticed they were gone from my denim jacket. I retraced steps along the illuminated boardwalk, passing the food trucks and the neon signs, hoping a glint of metal would catch my eye. The closer I got to the trolley stop the more my stomach sank. Those pins aren’t just metal—they were my lucky keepsakes from family trips, and I miss them already.
