On Tuesday around 4:30 p.m., I was browsing the Oakley Main Street Market when I realized my paperback 'Wild and Domestic' was missing from my tote. I hurried back through the aisles, past the grain elevator and the old soda shop, hoping to spot it on a shelf or a chair, but it was gone. The book is a gift from my grandmother, and it’s become a small source of comfort during long harvest season in this part of Kansas. If it turns up, I’ll swing by to pick it up and share a cup of thanks with whoever found it.
