I was seated on a bench outside the Fargo Theatre on Broadway around 12:30 p.m. today when a gust from a passing car knocked my bag from my lap and my laptop, tablet, and phone slipped away. The laptop has a red sticker, the tablet is a gray 11-inch model, and my phone has a blue case. I’ve retraced the brick sidewalks along 1st Avenue North and checked the coffee shops, but I didn’t find them. I’m stressed about the data and the urgency of replacing them is hitting me hard. Lost holiday decorations in Fargo, ND
Friday night, around 7:45 p.m., I realized the holiday decorations I planned to hang for our street display were missing after I carried a tote from the apartment to the car on Main Street in Fargo. I retraced my steps from the apartment building to the Fargo Theatre, circled the nearby storefronts, and even checked the snow-covered curb by the bus stop, but they were gone. It’s a jumble of red bows, a string of warm-white LED lights, and a glitter garland—things my family has used for years to brighten the block.
