Lost pants in New Orleans

Last Friday at 4:22 pm, I was at the Carousel Bar on Royal Street, just off Bourbon, when I slid my gray cargo pants onto a chair while I checked my map. I stepped out for a moment to stretch my legs and grab a quick coffee, and when I looked back they were gone. They’re my everyday pair—soft, comfy, with a tiny fray at the left knee that somehow fits my Louisiana life. I’m anxious about the loss because these pants hold the last two weeks of errands and little memories. If someone found them near the chair by the door, I’d be beyond grateful to have them back on my hips.
