Lost pet — how to find them fast

A fast, practical plan for finding a lost pet, plus the shelters and microchip registries to contact.

When a pet goes missing in Monroe, speed and visibility are everything. Most lost pets are found close to home within the first day.

  1. Search the immediate area. Check nearby gardens, sheds, and quiet spots. Bring treats and a familiar item, and call calmly.
  2. Alert the microchip registry. Flag your pet as missing with the microchip database so your details are current if they're scanned.
  3. Call local shelters and vets. Phone shelters, pounds, and veterinary practices around Monroe and ask them to note your pet's description.
  4. Post online and on lost-pet databases. Share clear photos in local community groups and lost-pet services.
  5. Put up visible notices. A simple poster with a photo, the area, and a contact number still works.
  6. Post a listing. Add a lost-pet listing for Monroe so found-pet reports nearby surface alongside yours.

Calico lop rabbit missing since yesterday in Monroe

I lost my calico lop rabbit, Nibbles, yesterday around 3:15pm. He’s tiny, the size of a loaf, with a tri-color coat—orange, white, and black—and a white blaze on his chest. Last seen near the Monroe Public Library area, but I’m worried he might have wandered toward Little Creek Park behind the CVS on Elm Street. He’s pretty skittish, but he’s got a tiny blue bell collar with a silver heart tag that reads ‘Nibbles’ as a unique identifier. I’m really hoping to get him back; he was a gift from my sister and means a lot to me.

Lost corgi mix with pink collar near Monroe Park

I lost my corgi mix Milo yesterday around 5pm after he darted ahead of me near Monroe Park. He's a small guy, about 25 pounds, with a tan coat and a distinctive white blaze on his chest; one ear tends to flop while the other stands up. He’s wearing a pink collar with a tiny silver bone-shaped tag that reads 'Milo.' Last seen near the Monroe Park entrance at Main Street and 7th Ave, by the CVS. I’m really worried—he’s part of our family and he’s got sentimental value for my kids who adore him.

Bearded dragon, orange with blue beard, missing Monroe Park today

Yesterday around 3pm I lost my bearded dragon, Ember, in Monroe. Ember is about 6 inches long from snout to tail, with a bright orange and tan pattern and a striking blue beard that shows when she’s stressed. She also has a small pale scar above her left eye from a past handling incident, and a faint orange streak along the tail. I last saw her near the Monroe Public Library on Main Street, behind the library parking lot by the bike racks, and I walked toward Monroe Park by the river; I checked the nearby pet store at Main and Oak but she must still be out there. I’m really worried—she’s my indoor buddy and loves warm lights and exploring tiny spaces. This reptile is a bit shy but curious, and she has sentimental value for me.

Lost bright pink dog leash with paw print design near Monroe Park.

I lost my favorite dog leash around Monroe Park while walking my dog yesterday afternoon. It’s a bright pink leash with a cute paw print design on it. I'm so worried someone might step on it or it might get ruined. If anyone finds it, I would really appreciate it if you could reach out to me.
