On Friday at 7:20 p.m., I found a pair of hoops on the sidewalk outside the Meadville Public Library on Market Street. They looked recently dropped, so I tucked them into a pocket and brought them to the front desk at the Meadville Community Center to keep them safe. The hoops are medium-sized, silver, with a few scratches from practice, and they clearly belong to someone who wears them daily. It felt like stumbling on a small part of someone’s routine and I wanted to do the right thing and help reunite them with their owner.
