Found parrots in Manhattan
I was walking home from the K-State Student Union on Saturday, around 3:40 pm, when I spotted two parrots perched on a bike rack near the campus library. They looked curious and a little tired, with bright emerald plumage and a touch of blue on their flight feathers. They hopped onto my hand, so I coaxed them into a loose pet carrier I carry in my backpack for emergencies. I stood there by the K-State Student Union, Manhattan, Kansas, and watched as people passed, unsure who they belonged to. I’m hoping this post helps reunite them with their owner through the site.
LOST: Puppies in Manhattan, Kansas
2:45 PM, Friday, near Aggieville on the edge of the K-State campus, two puppies bolted from my side during a quick break from a walk. One is small with a tan coat, the other a bit bigger and black-faced, both curious and fast. I chased them past the campus bookstore and down Poyntz Avenue, but they slipped into the crowd and vanished. Losing them hurts more than I can say, and I’m praying someone who saw them can help bring them home. If you spotted two puppies wandering around Aggieville or near the K-State campus, please keep an eye out.
Tiny gray hamster in blue cage near Union Square
I lost my tiny gray dwarf hamster yesterday around 3pm. He was in a light blue travel cage with a pink carrying handle and a tiny red wheel. The hamster is about 2 inches long, gray with a white underbelly and a small white dot behind his left ear. I last saw him in Manhattan, around the Union Square subway entrance on 14th Street after I grabbed a coffee—I'm really worried because this little guy is my daughter's pet and it was a gift from her grandmother. I found a small green anole lizard at Riverside Park last evening. It was wandering near the picnic area, and I couldn’t just leave it there. I think it got lost since there's no way it would wander into Manhattan on its own. It's quite friendly and seems to be in good health. If this is your pet, please reach out!
