LOST: Document holders on Mass Street
I was wrapping up a quick meeting near the Free State Brewing Company on Massachusetts Street at about 3:40 pm on Friday when I realized two black document holders were missing from my tote. They’re a simple pair: black leather, one with a blue ribbon bookmark, the other with a small initials sticker 'EM' on the front. I left them on the wooden bench outside the coffee shop by the corner of 12th Street and Mass, and when I returned they were gone. These folders contain client notes and travel itineraries; I’m anxious about what’s inside and how long they’ll be missing. If you’ve seen them around downtown Lawrence, please leave a note here.
Found radios on Mass Street, downtown Lawrence today
This morning around 10:15 am, I found a pair of radios lying on the sidewalk by Massachusetts Street near the Free State Brewing Co. in downtown Lawrence. They look well-worn, with a chipped knob and a faded thrift-store sticker. They’re in a weathered gray leather case and clearly belong to someone who loves vintage gear. I’m hoping to reunite them with their owner and put the pieces back where they belong.
Lost photographs in Lawrence
I lost my photographs after I stopped to adjust my camera near the Memorial Union on Friday around 4:30 p.m. I had set a stack of prints down on a bench by the Spencer Museum of Art and walked away with a friend. When we turned back, the bag was gone and the prints were missing. The photos include black-and-white street portraits and a few color shots from a family trip to the Kansas River. They’re precious reminders of people I love, and I’d be grateful to recover them near the KU fountain or Allen Fieldhouse area.
Lost Paintings near KU Campanile, Lawrence
On Saturday at 3:10 PM, I realized my set of four small paintings vanished from my tote while I was walking along Massachusetts Street toward the Campanile on the University of Kansas campus in Lawrence. I had paused to sketch the sunset by the Kansas River earlier in the afternoon, and I must have left them on a bench outside the Campanile steps. The paintings are framed in pale pine, two show prairie grasses, one a river scene, and the fourth a hillside town. They’re priceless to me, and I’m hoping someone who found them will bring them back to the campus information desk.
Lost travel adapters near KU campus
At 7:50 this morning, after a quick coffee on Mass Street, I realized my travel adapters were missing from my backpack. I had them earlier in my Lawrence apartment near the KU campus, and I dreaded the thought of being without power adapters on my trip later this week. I checked my dorm room and the sidewalk along Mass Street, but they’re nowhere to be found. If anyone has seen them or picked them up by mistake, please let me know through the site so I can coordinate getting them back.
Red plaid knit scarf with snowflake patch
I lost my red plaid knit scarf yesterday around 3pm near the Lawrence Public Library on Vermont Street. It's a thick scarf, about 60 inches long, red and cream plaid, with a small snowflake-shaped white thread patch near the hem and a frayed tassel at the end. It was a Christmas gift from my grandmother and has a lot of sentimental value; I wear it on chilly days. If anyone found it, I’d really appreciate hearing from you—it might be lying on the brick sidewalk by the library or around Mass Street between 9th and 11th. It’s in good condition aside from a tiny snag near the hem from catching on a fence.
Blue Penguin Classics hardcover of 'To Kill a Mockingbird'
I lost my blue Penguin Classics hardcover of 'To Kill a Mockingbird' yesterday around 3pm near the Lawrence Public Library on Vermont Street. It's a 6x9 inch edition with a blue cloth cover and white lettering, the spine is a bit creased and the pages are lightly yellowed from wear. There’s a coffee ring on the back and a small sticker inside the front cover with my handwriting on it. It was a gift from my grandmother and holds real sentimental value, so I’d be incredibly grateful to get it back.
Missing person: 5'9" male in red KU hoodie
I lost my younger brother, Omar Patel, in Lawrence yesterday around 3pm. He's about 5'9", slender, brown skin, short black hair, and was wearing a red KU hoodie with dark jeans and white sneakers. He has a small crescent tattoo on the inside of his left forearm and wears a silver compass pendant necklace. He was last seen near Free State Brewing Co. on Massachusetts Street, heading toward the KU campus at Jayhawk Boulevard. I'm really worried—these days he can wander off in crowds, and this is out of the ordinary for him. If anyone spots him, please email me at [email protected] with any information.
Navy Herschel backpack with orange phoenix sticker
I lost my navy Herschel backpack yesterday around 3pm near the Lawrence Public Library on Vermont Street, just off 7th. It's a mid-sized bag, about 14 inches tall, with a red zipper pouch in the front pocket. Inside I had a spiral notebook and a USB-C cable sticking out of the side pocket. The two identifying marks I hope help: a bright orange phoenix sticker on the inside flap and a small dent on the top handle from an earlier drop. This backpack is sentimental to me—it's a gift from my grandmother—and I really need it back.
Navy blue Nike swim trunks, size M
I found a pair of navy blue Nike swim trunks this afternoon around 2:45pm behind the KU Memorial Stadium parking lot on 6th Street in Lawrence. They're size M, quick-dry fabric, with a white drawstring and a bright red Nike Swoosh on the left leg. Inside the waistband there's a small blue silicone keyring with a 'KU' insignia, and there's a faint chlorine stain near the hem plus a tiny orange squiggle mark on the right pocket—two unique features that could help identify them. They look recently used but in good shape otherwise. If these might be yours, I'm happy to get them back to you.
Found bright pink dog harness with leash
I found this bright pink dog harness with a matching blue leash this afternoon around 3:15pm in the parking lot behind Free State Brewing Co. on Massachusetts Street in Lawrence. The harness is small, nylon with a reflective stripe along the edge and a tiny paw-print charm on the buckle. The leash is plain blue, about four feet long. It looked well-used but clean, and there was no ID tag on either piece. I’d love to see it go back to the pup it belongs to—if this sounds like yours, shoot me a note and we can meet up near Lawrence Public Library or at the corner of 9th and Mass to transfer.
Beagle mix dog, black/tan, pink harness
I lost my dog yesterday around 3pm. She's a medium-sized black-and-tan beagle mix, about 45 pounds, with a white chest patch and a tiny scar on her left ear; she’s really distinctive. She’s wearing a bright pink nylon harness and a blue collar with a yellow name tag that says 'Luna'. I last saw her near the KU campus area, along Massachusetts Street in downtown Lawrence, around the 15th Street crossing near the Free State Brewery. I’m really worried—she’s part of the family and has sentimental value to me. If you spot her, please text or call me right away.
Silver-tone necklace with crescent moon charm
I lost my silver-tone necklace yesterday around 3pm near the Lawrence Public Library on Massachusetts Street. It's a mid-length chain, about 16 inches, with a lobster clasp that can stick when it's chilly. The pendant features a tiny crescent moon and a freshwater pearl bead; the back of the moon charm is engraved with the initials 'A.R.' and the chain has a couple of small scratches from daily wear. This necklace has sentimental value to me—my mother gave it to me before college, and I really need it back. If anyone finds it, please drop me a note; I’d be so grateful to get it back.
Red nylon dog harness with reflective stripes
I found a red nylon dog harness with reflective stripes this morning around 8:15am behind the Lawrence Public Library on Vermont Street, near the bike racks. It’s a medium-sized, adjustable harness with a black plastic buckle and a small blue paw-print charm hanging from the D-ring. Inside, there’s a white label with a handwritten name that looks like “Milo.” The harness is in good condition and clearly used, with a few dog-hair specks and nothing torn. If this belongs to someone, I’d really like to help reunite it with their pup—I’ll be around the library area today in case someone recognizes it.
Found lime-green budgie with yellow head near library
I found a small budgie this afternoon around 3:45 pm behind the Lawrence Public Library on Vermont Street, near 7th. It's got a lime-green body, a bright yellow head, blue cheek patches, and tiny black scallops along the wings. It’s wearing a small blue leg band stamped 'AL9.' The bird seemed calm, hopped around a bench, and was clearly used to people—very friendly, actually. I kept it safe in a makeshift cage I had on hand while I looked for its owner, hoping to reunite them soon. If you think it’s yours, DM me with a photo or the leg-band code to verify.
