LOST USB drives near Osage Beach Boardwalk
On Tuesday around 3:40 PM I was loading gear at the Osage Beach Boardwalk, and two USB drives slipped from my tote and disappeared between the railing and the pavement. One drive is black with a silver cap; the other is blue with a small sticker of a guitar. They contain important class notes and a handful of personal photos, and I’m anxious about losing that material. I’d be grateful to be reunited with them.
Lost postcards near Lake of the Ozarks
On Saturday around 6:30 p.m., I realized my postcards were LOST after a stroll along the Lake of the Ozarks State Park entrance by the Visitor Center. They’re a small collection I was building from weekend trips around Missouri, sentimental notes and tiny drawings that remind me of days by the water, and I’m really hoping they turn up. I walked the lakefront trail, checked the benches near the marina, and asked a couple of anglers if they’d seen a stack of postcards lying around. The wind felt like it could carry them off toward Ha Ha Tonka, and that thought makes me anxious.
Blue Penguin Classics paperback mystery novel
I found a blue Penguin Classics paperback mystery novel this morning around 9:30am in the parking lot behind Osage Beach Outlet Marketplace on Route 54. The cover is a bright blue with a small lighthouse illustration, and there’s a coffee ring on the back cover. Inside, page 142 is dog-eared and there’s a handwritten note in the margin: 'For Sam, birthday 2022.' The spine’s a little creased, but the rest of the book looks readable. If you’ve lost it, I’d really like to get it back to you—maybe you were reading along the Lake of the Ozarks lakeside trail near Grand Glaize Dock when you last had it.
