LOST: I realized my passports were missing around 9:30 a.m. Tuesday outside the Truman State University campus bookstore in Kirksville, Missouri. I had just picked up a coffee and tucked the passport holder into my bag after paying at the counter. I retraced steps across the quad, past the library and the courthouse square, but they were nowhere to be found. Those documents are crucial for an upcoming trip, and the moment is stressful. The blue leather cover is plain, and inside are my two passports with a few travel notes tucked into the sleeve.
